Mag. Walter J. Fend

studies in political science, history and sociology at the Universities of Innsbruck and Vienna (Mag. phil.). Employed at the IKF from 1994 to 1997 and again since 2003. From 1998 until 2003 member of the OSCE Mission in Croatia; periodical participation in EU and OSCE election observations.

Main research topics: conflict resolution in South East Europe and the Middle East , minority policies, political participation of migrants and the youth; civic and citizenship education.
